We are hiring a Project Engineer – Automation for a leading global life sciences organization. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative automation projects that support the development of life-changing products.
As a key team member, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation systems while collaborating with a global engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation System Development: Design and modify automation systems based on process diagrams, functional requirements, and machine mechanical drawings.
- Software & Hardware Configuration: Configure, replicate, and maintain PLCs, SCADA systems, servo systems, and vision systems.
- Project Collaboration: Work with a global team on automation development projects, standards implementation, and technology selection.
- Validation & Compliance: Support validation processes, maintain software documentation, and ensure compliance with cGMP regulations.
- Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and technical support to plant personnel while ensuring system reliability.
- After-Hours Support: Participate in a rotating schedule to support plant operations when needed.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience: Proven expertise in automation engineering, including PLCs, SCADA, and motion control systems.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and excellent communication skills to lead or contribute to global projects.
